President and Founder
Doug founded Bassich & Associates in 1989 and maintains an active role in the company managing engagements and client relationships, while also producing studies. He contributes a rich 40 years of market due diligence experience in numerous industries including aerospace and defense, food and beverage, consumer products, building products, energy products and services, power generation, value-added distribution, healthcare, scientific instrumentation and equipment, automotive, heavy-duty truck, ag-construction and mining equipment, IT and software, niche manufacturing, and general industrial products and services.
Doug has undergraduate degrees in Economics and Business from the University of Maryland.
Pat leads Actel’s engagement management, new client sales, and day-to-day firm management. He has 13 years of market due diligence experience across a wide array of industries including aerospace and defense, consumer products, healthcare products and services, food and foodservice, niche manufacturing, energy products and services, industrial products and services, and others.
Previously, Pat was an Associate at Houlihan Lokey, where he provided transaction-advisory services in the consumer, food, and retail industries. During his tenure there, he advised clients in the branded household products, consumer and professional electronics, personal care products, restaurants, and furniture industries.
He holds undergraduate degrees in English and Political Science from the George Washington University and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
Chris is responsible for engagement management, production, and new client sales. He has nine years of market due diligence experience in aerospace and defense, consumer products, healthcare products and services, food and foodservice, niche manufacturing, energy products and services, industrial products and services, and other industries.
Previously, Chris was the Director of Policy Research and Public Affairs at the National Council of Nonprofits, where he led an investigation into government policies adversely impacting the nation’s small and midsized 501(c)(3) organizations. His research findings have been cited in The New York Times and other national media. Before that, Chris spent 10 years working as a reporter for The Wall Street Journal, covering economics, personal finance, transportation, information technology, consumer protection, and other political and regulatory beats for the Journal’s Washington bureau.
He has undergraduate degrees in American Government and English from the University of Virginia.
Holden is responsible for client relationship management, engagement management and study production. Previously, he worked for a hospitality start-up as a project manager on growth and operations teams. Prior to that, he worked in digital marketing at a high-growth, e-commerce apparel company.
Holden has an undergraduate degree in Anthropology & Geography with a minor in Business from Texas Christian University and a Master of Science in Digital Anthropology from University College London.
Tyler is responsible for engagement management and study production. Previously, he was a Senior Research Associate at Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG), a leading B2B platform for professional learning and insight. He has prior consulting experience at DCDB Group, a full-range provider of consultancy services related to international business transactions and executions serving clients in the US, Europe and Latin America.
He holds undergraduate degrees in Economics and International Business with a minor in Portuguese from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.
Jack is responsible for study production. Previously, he served as a political consultant, public policy advisor, and strategist for numerous government and political entities at the federal, state, and local levels. Jack’s expertise includes using primary-source research to develop and execute winning data-driven strategies.
He has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York, College at Brockport, School of Business and Management.
Dorian is primarily responsible for study production. Previously, he served as Head of Strategy & Marketing for Meltek, Inc., a clean-energy technology startup. Dorian has prior consulting experience with Vision Consulting, serving local businesses pro bono in the Rochester, NY area.
Dorian graduated with his STEM-designated MBA from the Simon Business School, University of Rochester. Prior to pursuing his MBA, Dorian worked on multimillion-dollar tobacco cessation research studies at Penn State and the University of Pennsylvania. He holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from Penn State University.
Kellan is responsible for study production at Actel. Previously, he was a Strategic Client Success Manager for CS DISCO, a leading legal technology provider. Prior to his time with CS DISCO he worked as a Research Manager at Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG).
Kellan has an MBA with a focus on Data Analytics from Colorado State University as well as an undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University.
Jack is primarily responsible for study production. Previously, he served as a Client Delivery Analyst for an artificial intelligence tech company where he specialized in project management, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
Jack holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from New York University. He is currently an MBA candidate at Simon Business School, University of Rochester.
Director of Operations
Director of Operations
Megan is responsible for Actel’s back office functions and day to day operations including CRM management, recruitment strategy, and project management. Prior to Actel, she served as a business process analyst in the health insurance industry where she specialized in process improvement, project management, and change management initiatives.
She holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration concentrating in Finance and minoring in Mathematics from the University at Buffalo. She is currently an MBA candidate at Saunders College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology.
Teresa F. Smith
Teresa F. Smith
Teresa oversees and manages Actel’s general office and accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, taxes and human resources. Prior to working as a consultant, she served as the Director of General Accounting for Suburban Hospital, Inc., in Bethesda, Maryland, administering all functions of the general accounting department while training, managing, and supervising all accounting staff. Teresa began her accounting career as an Auditor for Deloitte, where she planned and executed audit procedures and prepared financial statements and related footnote disclosures.
Teresa has an undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland. She holds an active CPA license and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of CPAs (MACPA).
